European Industry Days in Valencia: "Opportunities for innovation and digitisation of Valencian industry".

The European Commission will hold the third edition of the European Industry Days in Brussels at the beginning of February. In January, February and March, cities across Europe will host parallel days on industry and digitisation issues.

The ai2 Institute of the Universitat Politècnica de València, in collaboration with the Agencia Valenciana de la Innovación (AVI) and the Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad Empresarial (IVACE) have organized in Valencia the conference: "Opportunities for innovation and digitization of Valencian industry", whose objective is to break down the measures carried out by the regional administration, with the help of various agents, to increase the weight of industrial activity in the economy of this region. The session seeks to learn about the opportunities arising from industrial digitalization and some of the most innovative initiatives in this regard are being carried out in the Valencian Community to boost industry 4.0.

Specifically, one of the priority axes of the Smart Specialisation Strategy for Research and Innovation of the Valencia Region RIS3-CV is advanced manufacturing, an aspect also present in the Agenda Industry 4.0 of the Valencia Region, a reference document for the digitalisation of industry in this area.

At the same time, it is also necessary to provide companies with a clarifying vision of digitisation in industry, especially the enabling technologies that support it, which have been the focus of the work of the AVI in the strategic committees, as well as the TECH4CV initiative.

Finally, a vision of the model promoted from the European Commission for the digital transformation, the Digital Innovation Hub (DIH), as well as the development of HUB4.0MANUVAL in Valencia, will be offered.

The event will allow to share these and other aspects of the knowledge of the industry 4.0 between all the agents with competences in the planning of the processes of managerial transformation, as well as to spread among the assistants the best practices to support the mechanisms of the industry 4.0.

The conference will take place on 13 February at the Polytechnic City of Innovation, Universitat Politècnica de València, CPI-UPV. It will be aimed at those interested in industry 4.0, especially representative agents in innovation skills: companies, technology centres, public administrations and business associations.
