Ivace Innovation extends digital transformation aids to logistics and transport companies

04/10/2018.

Ivace Innovation (Innovation branch of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness) is going to incorporate as beneficiaries logistics and transport companies in the next calls for aid aimed at introducing innovative solutions in companies that facilitate the digital transformation, "trying to cover, in this way, most of the value chain," as announced by the director general of Ivace, Júlia Company.

Company has attended in Castalla the inauguration of the 'II Forum for Intelligent Innovation: towards industry 4.0', organized by the Fundación Empresa Universidad de Alicante (Fundeun).

During her speech, Company also referred to the desire of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness to increase the intensity of aid for digitization projects up to 45%.

For the head of Ivace, the attitude of the business fabric with digitization is being "surprising". In the last two years, the Institute has supported more than 600 digital transformation projects with nearly one million euros.

These are projects aimed at incorporating enterprise resource planning systems, production management and control systems, as well as systems for obtaining information in real time, key to optimising decision-making.

Other promotion actions
The actions that Ivace has underway to promote the digital transformation of the business fabric of the Comunitat are included in the Agenda Industry 4.0, launched by the Institute in collaboration with the agents of the Valencian innovation system. One of the measures adopted was the constitution of the first Lab 4.0, in collaboration with business associations, universities, technology centres and trade unions.

With all of them, Ivace is working on the design of a regional web platform Industry 4.0, which will contribute to disseminate the most outstanding actions that the agents of the Valencian innovation system are developing in the field of industry 4.0, or the main national or European innovations in the field.

A catalogue of 4.0 capabilities of universities and technology centres is also being prepared which will be put at the service of companies and society in general.

Impulse 4.0 at european level
Ivace Innovation's role as a driving force for digital transformation is recognised in Europe.

The Institute is a member of the Steering Committee of the European Industrial Modernisation Platform created by the European Commission, where it co-leads two working groups: one on industries 4.0 and the other on innovative textiles, together with Ateval.
